Thomas Wiegemann, who is a roadworks technician in Muelheim an der Ruhr, has been appointed to the board of Projekthilfe Gambia e.V. (German organization of Project Aid The Gambia). On December 16, 2015, the board elected him as successor of board member Hanna Lohmann who had resigned due to personal reasons.
In 2009 Thomas Wiegemann as a crew member of the aid convoy visited Jahaly Health Centre for the first time.
“Gambia and the project have caught me 2009 directly. The overwhelming reception is still present in my memory. I knew immediately, this is worth every effort*, he says.
Also in 2011 Thomas Wiegemann was member of the convoy crew and was substantially involved in the preparations. He already belongs to the active members of the organization for years and provides his technical expertise.
In the board, he is responsible for organizing the shipping of aid containers and for technical assistance throughout all projects.
